  • Music For Rivers – July, 2013 – Benefit Concert

    Well it has come and gone.  Still a money maker but – just barely.  If you have ideas for an alternate annual fund raiser we welcome your input. The chapter is actively seeking ideas – please share yours. If you missed it last year don’t make the same mistake this year -START PLANNING NOW- to attend the 2nd annual MUSIC FOR RIVERS on July 13, 2013.   • Teaching Casting at Lawrence Jr. High – 05/06/13

    Some of our volunteers had a great morning working with the students in Mike McGee’s gym classes.  Jim Thibodeau, Jim Dunbar, Greg Ponte, Dave Nevedonsky and Willie Grenier taught all of his classes so that we could get ready for the pond fishing on June 3rd. And speaking of June 3rd from 8AM to 2PM at the pond near the Athletic Field in Fairfield chapter volunteers will be teaching actual fly fishing. Any additional volunteers can contact Willie Grenier on his cellphone at 649-4651.

  • Women’s Day – 2013 – Learn Fly Fishing Basics

    Are you a woman who would like to learn what “Fly Fishing” is all about. Or do you know a woman who would like to learn the basics of Fly Fishing.  Then send them a link to this page.   • 2013 – Presque Isle Sportsman’s Show

    04/06/13 – Once again our volunteers have made the long run to Presque Isle (Boston is actually closer to Kennebec Valley than Presque Isle) and once again they say the trip is worth it. Perhaps one day Presque Isle will have its own Trout Unlimited Chapter but for now members make the trip up and promote cold water preservation and fisheries. One way they do that is to tie flies with young and old as you’ll see in the slide show.  They have been doing this long enough now to have established friendships with people up there.  So much so that if…
